Yesterday, we informed you that the national SEE seminar will be organised in France on 12 and 13 May, and this article once again highlights this project. Indeed, on 13 May 2022, a webinar on SEE will also be held. This time it will be addressed to a European audience and will be an opportunity to review the first results of the project.
The SEE project: supporting the environmental responsibility of nature sports practitioners
Developed by ENOS, the SEE project aims to promote education in and through outdoor sport with special focus on skills development for outdoor sports professionals such as trainers, guides or instructors.
The project seeks to understand the impacts that outdoor sports can create in natural and protected areas as well as more globally with respect to climate change etc. It also seeks to identify good practice from within the sector and then develop resources and methodologies to share knowledge and develop skills to support greater environmental responsibility by outdoor sports practitioners.
A webinar on the first results of this project
ENOS is delighted to invite you to a webinar that their members are holding on 13th May:
Within this webinar they will be sharing the key findings from the research that has been undertaken in the first year of this project, which includes a survey of protected areas by the EUROPARC Federation (the European network of protected areas) as well as a survey of federations within the partner countries.
ENOS has also produced over 20 individual sports fact sheets from the findings based on responses in relation to individual sports. You can access the sports fact sheet on the project website here.
The SEE project, also presented at the next Euro’Meet
There will also be the opportunity to attend a further workshop on the project at our biennial outdoor sports Euro’Meet which this year will take place in Silkeborg in Denmark on 14-16th September 2022 with the theme of “Green Sports for a green and healthy Europe”. Registration is now open for this in person event which will involve plenty of opportunities for networking sharing ideas and collaborative discussions. Please visit the event website for more information and registration. We really hope to see you online on 13th May and perhaps in person in Silkeborg later in the year!
